Pastor’s Biography
Pastor Travis was born and raised in Southeastern Indiana. He was saved by God’s grace as a child and raised in the Dearborn Baptist Church, Aurora, IN. He is a 1991 graduate of the South Dearborn High School, Aurora, IN; where he played basketball on the 1990 Sectional Championship team. He has also earned a Business Administration degree from Ivy tech Community College. In 1991 he married the love of his life, the former Miss Dianna Lewis of Milan, IN.

Knowing Christ and Making Him Known |

From 1991 to 1995 Pastor Travis served in the US Army. He completed Basic and Advanced Training, as well as Airborne school as Ft. Benning, GA before being assigned to the 3rd US Infantry (TOG) in Ft. Myer, VA. His role in the “Old Guard” allowed him to meet Presidents Bush and Clinton.
In 1995 the Gilberts returned to Indiana from military service and reestablished their membership at the Dearborn Baptist Church; where in the Spring of 1997 Travis answered the call to full time preaching ministry. On March 1, 1999 he joined the pastoral staff of the Dearborn Baptist Church, and served there until August 13, 2006. The church ordained him to the gospel ministry in October 2003.
In July of 2006 Pastor Travis accepted the call to pastor the Antioch Baptist Church of Greencastle, IN, and he officially assumed that position on August 20, 2006.
Travis and Dianna have been blessed with three boys: Luke, Noah, and Ethan. |
